Hi! Many of you know that our community skews senior overall -- about half of our 1,700+ members have ≥15 years of experience as biopharma communicators, and collectively, about 2/3 have ≥10 years of experience. So that's why we always ensure our programming is highly relevant to veteran comms pros. But my goal is for T2B to be accessible to all communicators within the life sciences ecosystem, and to support the talent pipeline... That absolutely includes emerging communicators as well as those considering a career transition to our profession! We're so pleased to share the Students & Recent Grads Roundtable's first event, happening next Friday! Navigating the Unwritten Rules of Being a Biopharma CommunicatorSome of the most important lessons about building a career in biopharma comms are definitely not in a school curriculum or job onboarding. Actual questions the roundtable has for our guest speakers: How do you gain trust within your role? How is it different towards your team, your clients, etc.? What does “professionalism” actually mean, and who gets to define it? How do you balance being responsive and available while setting healthy boundaries? 🗓️ Friday, September 11th ⬆️ Flagging that, unlike all our other member-led roundtable programming, which is exclusive to T2B Pro and Student members, we're opening up Students & Recent Grads Roundtable events for free to everyone in the T2B community. Remember, it costs nothing to sign up as a Basic member. Guest speakersOur panel brings together three communications leaders with experience across different career stages and settings:
The core Students & Recent Grads Roundtable group comprises aspiring comms and IR leaders, and they've put a lot of heart into this program. Roundtable members Jasmine Bell, MSc (UCL), and Mimi Le (Catalytic Agency) will be moderating this panel -- please come support them as we talk about lessons that can take years of experience to learn and which professional “rules” carry with us as we move between roles, organizations, or different sectors of the industry. I'm so proud of Jasmine, Mimi, and the rest of the roundtable, and am grateful to Jenna Tomae (Crossover Search), who stepped in as executive sponsor to mentor and guide this awesome group. Please pass on this event invite to any and all young talent in your network, or consider joining if you're in the midst of a career transition of your own -- thank you! Lynnea P.S. - Did you know that T2B offers Student memberships to students and recent grads (<1 year post-graduation; excludes executive certifications/degrees) for a 90% discount off regular Pro pricing? For $100/year, T2B Student members get access to everything that Pro members do. |

Hi! Throughout the summer, we’ve taken you inside the findings from our inaugural AI in Biopharma Comms Survey, developed through the T2B AI Roundtable with Knowledge Partner Syneos Health Communications. There were five big takeaways (full report here), and today we’re taking a closer look at #3: access, governance, and trust are uneven. The short version: guidance exists in many organizations, but guidance alone doesn’t create confidence. As AI becomes part of everyday comms work, many...
Hi! In our July Comm Convo -- led by BioPharma Dive reporter Gwen Wu -- our panelists, Chloe Kirk, Ph.D. (BiotechTV), Ben McLeod (Convey Bio + The Biotech Voyager), and Liz Puzio (Simtra BioPharma Solutions), discussed how we can help scientists and executives communicate with more credibility without over-managing what they say. Our top 10 takeaways from Why Only Some Platforms Are Trusted When Everyone Has One: 1. Separate the executive from the corporate microphone. Trust slips for leaders...
