Our first-ever in-person Biopharma Comms Forum will be held in the Boston area on June 17th (the week of BIO).

The theme, “The Next Chapter,” will address the evolving environment, skills, and leadership needed for success as modern-day biopharma communicators.

🚨 IR Roundtable - Applications Close Friday, April 11th

Investor relations is a complex discipline in and of itself, though we often find this one of many hats we wear as modern-day biopharma communicators.

Which is why we’re looking for five T2B Pro members who are passionate about IR to equip T2Bers with tools to enhance trust, credibility, and effective communication with the IR community and beyond.

Applicants must have:

• A basic understanding of and experience in biopharma investor relations with current or prior experience on the agency, corporate (in-house), or consulting side.
• The ability to volunteer 3-5 hours/month to co-create quarterly IR events and monthly resources for the broader T2B community.
• The commitment to actively participate in quarterly roundtable meetings as well as contribute ideas and feedback.
• An active T2B Pro membership.

We were down in San Diego on 3/12 for our first quarterly meetup of the year, hosted by Kura Oncology.

And wow - the T2B energy was in the house, as you can see in this video of the day. Believe it or not, all the selfies and taking pics and video is not second-nature to me, so thanks, everyone, for being good sports!

📰 March Biopharma Beats Bulletin: “Short And Sweet Catches My Eye!”

This month, we’re shining a spotlight on Jessica Hagen.

As executive editor at MobiHealthNews, she oversees the entire publication's coverage and editorial direction. In her spare time, Jessica also co-hosts Psychiatry XR, a medical extended reality podcast with Stanford University researcher, neuropsychiatrist and professor, Kim Bullock, M.D.

So, she knows a thing or two about how to package messaging perfectly, and in Jessica’s opinion, this starts with the subject line in your email. Her advice is to keep emails concise and news-forward. "If a company secured $100 million in funding, put that in the subject line - 'Company X gets $100 million in funding’. If you make the subject line too convoluted, it's not gonna really do much. Short and sweet... that's going to catch my eye immediately."

Although my own background is more on the corporate affairs side, T2B is open to ALL kinds of communicators across our industry.

More recently, we’ve started to attract more sci/med communicators. It’s been so cool to see this organic expansion, and I’m always really interested to find out how they describe their own roles: to other pros, and to those not in the industry.
