Hi! When we set out to design the agenda for the upcoming T2B Virtual Forum, The Ripple Effect, our goal was to open conversations about how communicators can influence outcomes in highly politicized, rapidly-changing, and high-stakes environments like the one we are currently living in. So, the next two speakers we’re unveiling have deep experience doing just that. We’ll start the day with Angela Vasquez-Giroux, Vice President of Communications at Planned Parenthood Federation of America and Planned Parenthood Action Fund. Angela knows what it means to communicate with clarity when the pressure is on, and in her opening keynote, “Speaking Truth to Power Isn’t the Risk as a Communicator—Silence Is,” she’ll share how to build credibility, frame uncomfortable truths in ways that foster trust, and serve as the strategic conscience when the stakes are highest. Later, we’ll hear from Johnny Smith Jr., Global Head of Communications at Roche Diagnostics, in a case study facilitated by T2B’s own Michelle Benz. Johnny will share how he’s leading teams through industry transformation, with real-life examples of shifting from reactive to proactive planning, creating space for strategy, and keeping people motivated without burning them out. We hope you’ll tune in for these conversations and more at the Virtual Biopharma Comms Forum on Thursday, September 18th. Please note: this event is live only—sessions will not be recorded.

Hi! At our Philly meetup earlier this week, someone asked what a typical day looks like for Michelle and me. My answer? We spend A LOT of time with our ears to the ground, talking to the members of this community. And then we spend even more time building the infrastructure that makes our programming possible. We brainstorm and refine topics, identify the most relevant voices, and find creative ways to bring those back to the community. Our first-ever Ticket to Biotech Virtual Forum: The...
Hi! As communicators, feedback is at the heart of everything we do. That includes providing counsel to leadership when the stakes are high, mentoring junior colleagues, guiding partners within our organizations, and being open to input from fellow team members. How to give and receive that feedback in ways that strengthen trust and build influence is the topic of our September Comm Convo, Feedback, Feedforward, and Everything in Between. We’re especially looking forward to the conversation...
Hi! As a member of T2B, we’re all part of a pretty amazing built-in network of biopharma communicators. Our Q3 Leadership Lab Masterclass offers a chance to take a step back and think strategically about how we can show up, build trust, and grow our professional relationships – as part of T2B and beyond. This Wednesday, Monique Kelley, Associate Professor of Strategic Communication at Boston University and CEO of Monique Kelley Consulting, will share the mindset and strategies for how she has...
