Upcoming T2B Comms Mixers From Coast to Coast

Hi!

This quarter we’re expanding T2Bmeets beyond our usual hubs to bring more members together on both coasts.

We’ll start next month in California with our Q3 SF Bay Area meetup in Oakland. And soon after we'll head to Philly to spend time with those of you who live in the NY/NJ/PA area or are in town for Fierce Pharma week, and then make our way to D.C. for our first meetup there and on to Boston. Details for our San Diego area meetup coming soon.

T2Bmeet @ San Francisco | Wednesday, September 3rd | 5-7 p.m. PT

To reach more of our Bay Area members, we’ll be crossing the Bay Bridge and doing our Q3 meetup in Oakland at one of our favorite outdoor venues, NIDO's BackYard.

Free for Pro/Student members. $30 for Basic members. Buy your own drink.

T2B Pro/Student members: Log into your account, and get your promo code.

T2Bmeet @ Philadelphia | Monday, September 8th | 6-8:30 p.m. ET

In town for Fierce Pharma Week, or based in the tri-state area? Don’t miss our first-ever Philly meetup at a fun Irish pub, located within walking distance of the Philadelphia Convention Center.

For those of you keeping tabs, our Q3 mixer in this area was originally planned for NJ, but we've been receiving more and more requests from Philadelphia T2Bers to hang out there. We'll be back in NYC for our Q4 meetup in November.

Free for Pro/Student members. $50 for Basic members. Complimentary apps and drinks provided.

T2B Pro/Student members: Log into your account, and get your promo code.

T2Bmeet @ Washington, D.C. | Wednesday, September 10th | 4:30-7 p.m. ET

BIO in partnership with the National Pharmaceutical Council are hosting this special-edition T2B meetup. Given the recent major shifts within HHS and the FDA, we’re making tickets to this come-and-go networking event free so it’s accessible to all D.C.-based biopharma communicators.

T2Bmeet @ Boston | Tuesday, September 16th | 4:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. ET

For our Q3 Boston meetup, we're doing something a little different: partnering with local nonprofit Women in the Enterprise of Science and Technology (WEST). WEST holds regular "career possibilities" panels, and we're so pleased to organize this one focused on (what else?) biopharma communications!

The vast majority of our community comprises senior-level communicators, so although we certainly invite early-career professionals to come join, we're committed to making this dialogue valuable for all levels. And if you prefer to come only for the networking portion(s), that's fine, too!

Huge thanks to Syneos Health Communications for their partnership to make this program possible!!

Agenda:

  • 4:30–5 p.m.: Registration
  • 5–6 p.m.: Open Networking
  • 6–7 pm: Panel Discussion
  • 7–7:30 p.m.: Open Networking

Panelists:

  • Jerry Doyle, Managing Director & Senior Consultant, CommCore
  • Cynthia Isaac, Ph.D., Group Managing Director, Syneos Corporate Affairs Practice
  • Heather Nichols, Executive Director of Corporate Communications, Vertex

Free for Pro members. $50 for Basic members. Students may register for free with promo code STUDENT (honor system). Complimentary apps and drinks provided.

T2B Pro/Student members: Log into your account, and get your promo code.

September’s meetups feel particularly special because not only are we able to include folks in locations that T2B has not yet visited, but also because we have the support of so many wonderful backers from across the biopharma industry. Many thanks to Syneos, BIO, NPC, and WEST for believing in our mission and helping us to foster connections and spur important conversations about the work we all do every day!

Looking forward to seeing you all very soon! Have a fabulous weekend!

T2B Monthly | August 2025 New meetups, countdown to T2B Virtual Forum, recaps of August convos, and more! I always think August is going to be a quiet month, but between coast-to-coast meetups, a brand-new masterclass, prep for September’s forum, and some memorable conversations over the past few weeks, this newsletter is packed! We have a few “firsts," too: Our first Philly meetup, our first D.C. meetup, and a first look at how September’s Ripple Effect Forum is shaping up. And of course,...

Hi! Our August Comm Convo was a wide-ranging discussion about how comms teams can effectively operate in the life science ecosystem. Replay available here. Here are our top 10 takeaways for gaining and maintaining influence no matter the type, size, or shape of your organization: 1. Accept trade-offs in structure. Both centralized and decentralized models have strengths and weaknesses—focus on adaptability and network reach, rather than defending one model. 2. Prove advisory value. Instead of...

Hi! Our recent seminar with Fullintel (a T2B Pro Perks partner) dug into a question we’re all facing right now: What happens when algorithms, not editors, determine what audiences see? Although AI may be changing the rules around best practices, it’s also giving us new ways to get our stories out there and make them stick. Here are 10 highlights from our discussion: 1. AI is everywhere in life sciences. Professionals in our field use AI at nearly 4x the rate of other industries (31% vs. 8%),...
