Biopharma Comms Networking Mixers

Hi!

Our Q2 meetups started with a bang a couple weeks ago in San Diego. Beyond our other typical quarterly meetups in biopharma hubs San Francisco, NY/NJ, and Boston, we're also hosting meetups in New Orleans during ASGCT and in Chicago during ASCO.

T2Bmeet @ SF | Tue., 5/13, 4-6 p.m. PT

Following our hit meetup at JPM, we're back in San Francisco for our next Bay Area meetup. Whether you're in town for STAT Breakthrough Summit West this week or are a local like me, swing by my favorite wine bar (also woman-owned, like T2B!) between 4 and 6 p.m.

T2Bmeet @ ASGCT | Thu., 5/15, 4:30-7 p.m. CT

I'll be in the Big Easy later this week for the American Society of Gene and Cell Therapy (ASGCT) Annual Meeting, and our friends at Tulane School of Medicine generously agreed to host a T2B meetup for fellow communicators. Tulane is a short, six-minute Uber/Lyft ride from the convention center. Don't miss it!

T2Bmeet @ ASCO | Mon., 6/2, 4:30-7 p.m. CT

Our first T2B event in Chicago! Hosted by AbbVie with support from Weber Shandwick, this come-and-go networking reception is open to all biopharma communicators in the T2B community, whether you're visiting for this year's American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting or are local to the Windy City. (I don't actually have a ticket to ASCO but will be there with bells on for the good company and deep dish pizza.)

T2Bmeet @ NY/NJ | Thu., 6/12, 4:30-7 p.m. ET

After running T2Bmeets all over the place, it’s time to try something new for our next NY/NJ meetup. With the help of our friends at Mission North—who are hosting our Q2 networking mixer at their Manhattan office—we’ve put together a candid, wide-ranging panel on how biopharma communicators are adapting to today’s uncertainty. As a friendly reminder, we're rotating our regional meetups between NJ and NYC this year. We'll be back in NJ in Q3.

T2Bmeet @ BIO/Boston | Tue., 6/17, 5-7 p.m. ET

Come mix and mingle with comms pros visiting for BIO as well as those local to Beantown. If you're attending the inaugural T2B Biopharma Comms Forum at Takeda, your pass to our BIO meetup -- which doubles as our Q2 Boston mixer -- is included. But if you just want to come out for a couple of hours to catch up with old friends and maybe meet some new ones, you can still purchase a separate ticket only for T2Bmeet from 5-7 p.m. Shout-out to forum Marquee Sponsor Waterhouse and our supporters Fullintel and Jygantic!

We are SO thrilled to welcome back past sponsors (Real Chemistry, AbbVie, Waterhouse, Fullintel) and to collaborate with new orgs (Tulane School of Medicine, Weber Shandwick, Mission North, Takeda, Jygantic) for our record number of meetups this quarter! Thanks, everyone, for your continued support.

Especially as the environment only seems to get more chaotic by the day, and I hear about at least one friend every week it seems who's newly laid off, Michelle and I feel privileged to be conveners of these moments of joy and connection for our community.

Lynnea

Hi! T2B’s Peer-Learning Practicum, or PLP, is one of the very first programs we started last year. The concept is simple: Match a veteran biopharma comms pro (the Cohort Lead) with a small group of fellow communicators for monthly conversations. We are now running the PLP every six months, and the first cycle of this year is almost finished. So, we’re kicking off the next cycle by locking in the Cohort Leads for July-December. We’ve had some great applications already, but we know there are...

Hi! I hope those in the U.S. had a fun holiday weekend! During our May Comm Convo tomorrow, we’re focusing on strategic buy-in: what it is, how to get it, and how to maximize it. Our guest panelists, Amanda Galgay, Bilal Lakhani, and Will Nolan, will talk through identifying the voices that carry weight, build support across diverse stakeholders, and maintain control of strategy as it moves through layers of input. We’ll also explore ways to build credibility, attain alignment, and lead teams...
