Hi! JPM week is a lot. Calendars are full, energy is finite, and everyone is making constant trade-offs about where to be and who to spend time with. The fact that so many of you chose to show up for Ticket to Biotech throughout the week genuinely touched me. And, you can find the photo album here. 📸 Over the past year, T2B has grown and changed in meaningful ways. But what grounds this community hasn’t shifted. We’re still centered on knowledge sharing, building real relationships, and strategic learning. Seeing that come to life in San Francisco was a reminder of why this work matters. T2Bmeet @ JPMOur reception was one of those moments where the room just worked. Thank you to everyone who came, a record turnout for a single in-person T2B event! A huge thank-you to FleishmanHillard for hosting us again and for continuing to invest in creating space for this profession, and to AlphaSense for sponsoring and building alongside us this year. During the reception, I shared a toast: There’s something steadying about knowing we can show up for each other—consistently and with intention—even when everything else feels unpredictable.

Here’s to taking up space. To trusting our judgment a little sooner. To being more willing to name the value of this work.

As communicators, we are the Ticket to Biotech. If we don’t help tell the stories of this industry thoughtfully and with context, who will?
That energy carried well beyond that evening. The T2B CommonsOne of the quiet successes of the week was the Commons. Having a dedicated, welcoming place to meet, regroup, take calls, or host impromptu conversations made a real difference. I heard from so many of you about how empowering it felt to be able to say, “I’ve got a space we can use,” in the middle of the JPM chaos. Even better, I watched new connections form and old ones reconnect naturally throughout the week. The space had a steady hum without ever feeling overwhelming, which is exactly what we hoped for. Thank you to GCI Health for partnering with us on the Commons to make that footprint possible. Starting with a givebackWe kicked off the week in the best possible way with our first-ever JPM giveback event at Larkin Street Youth Services, in partnership with Life Science Cares. Nearly 30 communicators showed up (some straight from the airport!) to assemble 100 hygiene kits for youth experiencing homelessness in SF. It set the tone for the week in a way I won’t forget. Thank you to Life Science Cares, Larkin Street, and everyone who made the time to be there. And yes, the runA quick shout-out as well to CG Life for organizing the "sweat equity" fun run. It was a great way to start the week, and I loved seeing so many familiar faces at the Commons just as the JPM week sprint really began. A personal noteAll week, my inbox filled with notes from members, partners, and first-time attendees. People shared how impressed they were, how welcome they felt, and how many new connections they made. Others told me they left with fresh ideas for how to engage differently in their own roles. Those messages reinforced that showing up fully matters. It’s good for personal growth. It’s good for business. And it’s how this community continues to create momentum together. If JPM week reminded you of the value of leaning in, staying curious, and making time for real connection, I hope you carry that forward with T2B this year. Keep engaging. Keep raising your hand. Keep taking up space. Lynnea |
Hi! Misinformation has become part of the backdrop of comms work, often surfacing in ways that don’t have a clear owner, a clean definition, or an obvious playbook. This is especially true in our industry, where information moves quickly, context gets lost, and trust is uneven across audiences. Biopharma communicators are navigating fragmented information ecosystems, rising skepticism, and new dynamics driven by social media and AI-accelerated content. The challenge isn’t always about...
Hi! Tomorrow we’ll be hosting the first T2B Comm Convo of 2026, focused on the state of the FDA one year into the current administration. While this topic may seem very specific, our speaker prep call reiterated that what’s happening at the FDA and adjacent government agencies right now, of course, goes well beyond this being a regulatory or government affairs issue... because it's also shaping how our decisions as communicators get framed, how risk is managed, and how we advise leadership....
Hi! A quick note to flag two timely Culture Connect updates: Happening today — Bridging Generational Gaps: Communicating Across Four Generations in Biotech With four(!) generations working side by side, expectations around feedback, leadership, and collaboration don’t always line up. Today’s virtual, interactive session @ noon ET will dig into how those differences show up at work, and what communicators can do to help teams connect more effectively.
