Shape the future of biopharma comms

Hi!

If you want to help shape the future of biopharma comms, secure the industry’s longevity, and leave a legacy, now’s your chance!

We’re looking for eight seasoned comms pros to volunteer as Cohort Leads for our second cycle of T2B’s Peer-Learning Practicum (PLP) this year.

What is the PLP?

The PLP goes beyond traditional networking, with members placed into small cohorts, enabling them to build real connections that often last far beyond the program itself.

In fact, one of our most recent cohort members summed it up perfectly:

“It has been so lovely having more intimate discussions with professionals from within the healthcare industry, who I can truly learn from and share experiences with. It’s also a great way to meet international peers!”

Instead of a mentoring program, where in my experience, there’s always more mentees than mentors, and mid-level professionals feel like they’re too junior to be mentors and too senior to be mentees, T2B’s peer-coaching program has become a hallmark offering for our whole community. Why not learn from everyone? I put a lot of TLC into each cohort's group mix!

How it works

Cohorts meet virtually once a month for ~1 hour, with the first meeting in this next cycle scheduled for August 2025. Meetings will take place monthly through December 2025.

Every PLP meeting will focus on that month's respective T2B theme, which will also tie to the Comm Convo and weekly community discussion topics. For example, this year so far, PLP cohorts have had in-depth discussions on topics ranging from building trust to securing strategic buy-in as communicators in our industry.

The current PLP cycle wraps up in June. Enrollment will open again for the next PLP cycle for T2B Pro and Student members in July. But right now, we are looking for volunteers to run this next set of cohorts this year.

Who can apply to be a Cohort Lead?

If you’re a seasoned life science communicator and have:

  • 10+ years of experience
  • A passion for facilitating learning and networking
  • The ability to lead a diverse cohort of emerging, mid-stage, and veteran communicators, spanning different areas of biopharma comms and geographies
  • An active T2B Pro membership

... then we’d love to hear from you!

Expressing your interest in this important role couldn’t be simpler: just fill in this form.

The deadline for applications is Friday, May 30th.

When we opened up our last round of volunteer applications in Autumn ‘24, I was blown away by the caliber – and quantity – of the candidates. (We had more applicants than volunteer spots available, a testament to the passion of this amazing community!)

I can’t wait to see who applies this time around. But one thing’s for sure: our next PLP cohorts will be very lucky to have the standard of Cohort Leads that has already become well-established across our community!

Hi! T2B’s Peer-Learning Practicum, or PLP, is one of the very first programs we started last year. The concept is simple: Match a veteran biopharma comms pro (the Cohort Lead) with a small group of fellow communicators for monthly conversations. We are now running the PLP every six months, and the first cycle of this year is almost finished. So, we’re kicking off the next cycle by locking in the Cohort Leads for July-December. We’ve had some great applications already, but we know there are...

Hi! I hope those in the U.S. had a fun holiday weekend! During our May Comm Convo tomorrow, we’re focusing on strategic buy-in: what it is, how to get it, and how to maximize it. Our guest panelists, Amanda Galgay, Bilal Lakhani, and Will Nolan, will talk through identifying the voices that carry weight, build support across diverse stakeholders, and maintain control of strategy as it moves through layers of input. We’ll also explore ways to build credibility, attain alignment, and lead teams...
