Hi! Not too long ago, a big announcement would have been a relatively straightforward process with a tried-and-true playbook: a press release, some quick interviews with reporters, maybe a LinkedIn post or two, and that was usually about it. Today, that same announcement might take months of preparation, with a multi-faceted strategy that sees numerous plans running simultaneously to reach different audiences and stakeholder groups, both internally and externally. All in a day in the life of a modern-day biopharma communicator! The increasing complexity – and visibility – of our role is a topic we’re super-invested in at T2B. So much so, that Priyanka Shah (T2B advisor and the founder and CEO of Elephant Head Communications) and I have written an article about it, which has been published in today’s Marketing & Pharma newsletter. What used to be a linear, message-out process is now a dynamic system of inputs and reactions. Teams are navigating sensitive social issues, investor sentiment, regulatory nuance, employee morale, and scientific complexity, all in real time and often in public. As Christine Heenan, executive partner at Flagship Pioneering says in the article, “What once was a microscope is now a kaleidoscope.” And the T2B community will take a closer look through that kaleidoscope at our inaugural Biopharma Comms Forum on Tuesday, June 17th, in Cambridge, MA. The discussion will focus on how biopharma communicators can adapt to a shifting industry landscape and the expertise and leadership required to thrive today and in the future. Registration is now open for all T2B community members:T2B Pro or Student members: SIGN UP HERE. T2B Basic members: REGISTER HERE (ticket price: $475, includes access to T2Bmeet @ BIO/Boston). RSVP HERE if you ONLY want to attend T2Bmeet @ BIO/Boston on June 17th from 5-7 p.m. (ticket price: $50, free for T2B Pro and Student members). Have a good weekend! Lynnea |

Hi! T2B’s Peer-Learning Practicum, or PLP, is one of the very first programs we started last year. The concept is simple: Match a veteran biopharma comms pro (the Cohort Lead) with a small group of fellow communicators for monthly conversations. We are now running the PLP every six months, and the first cycle of this year is almost finished. So, we’re kicking off the next cycle by locking in the Cohort Leads for July-December. We’ve had some great applications already, but we know there are...
Hi! I hope those in the U.S. had a fun holiday weekend! During our May Comm Convo tomorrow, we’re focusing on strategic buy-in: what it is, how to get it, and how to maximize it. Our guest panelists, Amanda Galgay, Bilal Lakhani, and Will Nolan, will talk through identifying the voices that carry weight, build support across diverse stakeholders, and maintain control of strategy as it moves through layers of input. We’ll also explore ways to build credibility, attain alignment, and lead teams...
