Next Press Panel Announced: China's Biopharma Scene

Hi!

China's role in global biopharma has changed dramatically over the past few years, evolving from a lower-cost manufacturing and research hub into a major source of innovation, drug development, and licensing activity.

At the same time, geopolitical tensions and shifting U.S. policies have raised questions about cross-border partnerships, investment, intellectual property, and supply chains.

At our upcoming Media Minds Roundtable press panel, we'll hear from Drew Armstrong (Endpoints) and Angus Liu (Fierce Pharma) about which stories they’re following and how they're navigating the competing scientific and political narratives about the China biotech scene.

The China Biopharma Scene: Topics & Issues Journalists Are Watching in 2026-2027

📅 Friday, November 6th @ 12-1 p.m. ET / 9-10 a.m. PT / 5-6 p.m. GMT
📍 Virtual (Zoom)
🎟️ Register here.

Media Minds Roundtable programming is free and exclusive to T2B Pro and Student members.

We'll discuss questions like:

  • Which China-related biotech stories are gaining momentum, and what will drive coverage in 2027?
  • How are journalists covering cross-border licensing, M&A, investment, and China's growing role in drug discovery?
  • How are reporters weighing geopolitical and national security concerns against scientific collaboration and commercial opportunity?
  • What questions should companies and executives be prepared to answer about Chinese partnerships, IP, data, and supply-chain exposure?
  • How do journalists find and verify credible information when reporting on China, and what makes a company or executive a useful source?

As with all of our Media Minds events, our goal is to better understand how journalists are approaching the issues shaping our industry, and what that means for how we engage with them.

Hope to see you there, and have a great weekend in the meantime!

Lynnea

P.S. - If you're not already a T2B Pro member, you can upgrade here to join this panel and our other Pro-exclusive, member-led roundtable events.

At our next Patient Advocacy & Engagement Roundtable event, we’re turning the conversation over to the Roundtable members themselves for a candid, myth-busting discussion about what PA&E does, where it...

Hi! A quick reminder that our next Digital & Social Media Roundtable event is tomorrow, and we’re getting very practical about what the next generation of the press release should look like. We'll get into the choices communicators are making around the release itself and the broader package of content that surrounds it, including: What we would keep, change, or eliminate if we were reinventing the press release today The structure, context, and supporting information that help LLMs...

Hi! Employee giving and volunteer programs can deliver value well beyond employee engagement. Done thoughtfully, they can strengthen company culture and employer brand, deepen community relationships, and create authentic stories that support corporate reputation.
