Hi! Our in-person programming is about to go up a gear (or two), with our first-ever in-person Biopharma Comms Forum! Taking place in Cambridge on Tuesday, June 17th, the event’s theme is “The Next Chapter.” We’ll address the evolving environment, skills, and leadership needed for success as modern-day biopharma communicators both today and in the future. And with all of the turmoil further fracturing the healthcare and life science ecosystems, our role as communicators just got even more critical. We want this event to be a two-way, interactive event: It will not be a day full of presentations, where you sit in “receive” mode for several hours. Instead, attendees will benefit from networking, small-group discussions, keynotes, case studies, and panels with industry peers. To cap it all off, we’ll gather for our BIO / Q2 Boston area meetup in the evening! Tell me more! This forum will take the connections made at T2Bmeet receptions to the next level, creating space for deeper discussions on the issues shaping our profession. We’ll begin the afternoon with a networking lunch, before taking a deep dive into what it means to be a modern-day biopharma communicator (and how that might change in the near future), inspired by some of your responses to our recent email on the topic: “The semantic shift from ‘Communications’ to ‘Strategic Corporate Affairs Advisors’ reflects a fundamental truth about our expanding remit. Yet recognition continues to be a challenge. Perhaps we need not abandon ‘Communications’ entirely, but rather elevate it through strategic pairing – ‘Strategic Communications Partner’ or ‘Corporate Strategy & Communications Lead’ – terminology that honors our roots while acknowledging our strategic evolution.” “We need to be insight-driven; knowing our stakeholders – their wants, needs, biases, assumptions – to help inform both the policy side and the options/needs from communications.” “The modern-day communicator is someone who can work closely with the C-suite and serve as a trusted advisor, can understand priorities and communicate them effectively across the org., problem solves messages for a varied group for stakeholders: investors, KOLs, employees, potential BD partners.” In the morning, our new Students & Recent Grads Roundtable will host a workshop open to young professionals. More details on that are coming soon! We couldn’t do this without our sponsorsThis is a big step for T2B, and it’s been made possible by our fantastic partners:
How to sign upTickets for this inaugural event are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis for T2B Pro and Student members.
Any remaining tickets will be available to T2B Basic Members starting May 1, 2025 at a rate of $475. The reason why our T2B meetups are so popular is not complicated: They provide a zero-pressure environment for real talk with fellow biopharma communicators. The forum will take this concept even further, enabling those interactions to organically unfold on a more meaningful level. And we can’t wait! Lynnea P.S: If you want to guarantee your place at our first-ever in-person forum, then you need to be a T2B Pro member. |
