📣 Peer-Coaching Enrollment Closes Tomorrow

Hi!

Enrollment for our popular Peer-Learning Practicum (PLP) closes tomorrow, July 18th – and it won’t open again until January!

If you’re a T2B Pro member, fill out this short form to be placed in a cohort:

If you’re a T2B Basic member, you’ll need to become a Pro member before registering for the PLP. All Pro members are guaranteed a spot.

What is the PLP?

The PLP goes beyond traditional networking by placing T2B Pro members into small peer-coaching cohorts that foster deep, meaningful dialogue and build connections that often last far beyond the program itself.

Why our participants love it: 94% of members rate their cohort leads 4 or 5 out of 5, and nearly everyone reports feeling comfortable and included in discussions. As one recent participant shared: "Every month I looked forward to my (safe) conversation space to talk honestly about shared challenges and experiences in this field."

What's new this cycle: Based on participant feedback, we're optimizing cohort sizes to 6-8 people to improve scheduling consistency and group dynamics while maintaining the intimate, supportive environment you’ve come to expect.

  • Duration: Monthly virtual meetings (~1 hour each) from August through December 2025
  • Cohort composition: Mix of emerging, mid-stage, and veteran communicators across biopharma comms—agency, in-house, freelancers, and job seekers
  • Flexible discussion focus: While each month has a suggested theme tied to Comm Convo topics, Cohort Leads have full flexibility to take conversations where their groups need to go, addressing real-time challenges and opportunities

Who's leading the cohorts: While we have a few returning Cohort Leads, we are really pleased to have other senior leaders raise their hand to volunteer for this next cycle:

  • Terri Clevenger (Waterhouse Brands)
  • Geoff Curtis (Marshall Curtis Communications)
  • Melinda Hutcheon (Sangamo Therapeutics)
  • Susan Kinkead (Kinkead Communications)
  • Agatha Newman (Astellas Pharma)
  • Sheryl Seapy (Real Chemistry)
  • Marisa Sharkey (Harmony Biosciences)
  • Sarah Spencer (SJS Communications)

So, here’s what you need to do by tomorrow to be placed into a peer-coaching group:

  1. Upgrade to T2B Pro (if you haven’t already)
  2. Enroll in the PLP

Already participated? You’re welcome to re-enroll in this next cycle, and I'll match you with a new group.

Lynnea

P.S. - We've heard that some of you are contemplating upgrading to Pro to join the PLP and gain complimentary access to our other upcoming programming, like our virtual Biopharma Comms Forum in September. If you're on the fence, watch the reply of our info session from earlier this week.

Hi! Last week, we highlighted just how integrated AI has become in everyday biopharma work. But the second finding in our inaugural AI in Biopharma Communications survey raises a bigger question: What happens when individual communicators adopt AI faster than their organizations? Today we explore the contrast between the recent surge in individual AI use and the lag in mature governance, standardized workflows, and formal support at most organizations. Individual adoption is outpacing...

Hi! At our June Comm Convo, Fluent in Finance, Science, and Strategy, we looked at what it takes to build enough command of science, finance, and business strategy to give counsel that holds up with internal business partners (if you're in-house) or with our clients (if you're at an agency or an outside advisor). Fluency is decidedly what earns us the standing to ask sharper questions, push back on messaging that requires broader alignment first, and get close to decisions before being asked...

Hi! In T2B's AI in Biopharma Communications Survey, managing agentic AI workflows ranked as the top AI capability communicators want to develop next. That finding is the starting point for our next AI Roundtable session. Many comms teams are already using AI to draft content, summarize documents, and accelerate research. The next evolution is agentic AI — systems that can coordinate multi-step workflows while people provide direction, judgment, and accountability. Leading this workshop-style...
